CentLabs Pro is lab management software for pathology and veterinary labs. It is run by Centeuno Technologies LLP (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the CentLabs Pro desktop app, the lab owner account and this website. It explains what we collect, why, where we keep it and the choices you have.
Patient data stays in your lab
The app works offline. Patients, samples, reports, invoices and stock are stored only on the lab's computer, in an encrypted database. We never receive them. Backups are made and kept by the lab. For the personal data of its patients, the lab decides what is collected and why, and is responsible for it under the law.
What we collect
The lab owner account
- Email and password. The account is held by Google Firebase Authentication. We never see or store your password.
- Sign in with Google. If you choose it, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us, and confirms that the email is yours. We use only the email and Google's account ID, to sign you in and to know that you own your lab. We do not ask for access to your Gmail, contacts, Drive or any other Google data.
Registering your lab
- The lab's name, the owner's name, phone number and address, and which version of our terms you accepted.
- An install ID for each computer, and a scrambled (one-way hashed) computer ID with the processor type, processor count and memory size. They let us recognise the computer if the app is set up again, and keep the licence on the right computer.
While the app runs
- Licence renewal and a daily check-in. The app version, operating system, licence state and expiry date, when the last backup was made and where, and the size of the database. No lab records and no patient data.
- Usage data and error reports. Counts and timings from a fixed list (for example, that a report was printed), which screens are opened, and error details. Names, phone numbers, results and report text are removed before anything is sent. You can turn this off in Settings → About.
- Feedback you send. Your message, its category, the app version and, only if you tick the box, the app's log with personal details masked.
This website
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security.
Why we use it
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- To register your lab, issue and renew its licence, and move it to a new computer.
- To confirm that you own the lab before resetting a forgotten passcode.
- To find and fix problems, and to improve the app.
- To answer your feedback and send you emails about your account and your lab.
We do not sell your data, show you ads or use your data to train AI models.
Google user data
CentLabs Pro's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data from Google sign-in is used only to sign you in to CentLabs Pro. It is not shared with anyone else, except the service providers below that run the sign-in for us, and is never used for advertising.
Who processes it for us
- Google Cloud and Firebase (Google LLC): accounts, our cloud functions and database, in Google's Mumbai region.
- PostHog (PostHog, Inc.): usage data and error reports, stored in the United States.
- Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.): sending emails, in the United States.
They may process data outside India, under their own security and privacy terms, and only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
Account and lab details are kept while your lab uses CentLabs Pro, and deleted within 90 days after you ask us to close the account, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. Check-ins, usage data and error reports are kept for up to two years. Feedback is kept until it has been dealt with.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us for a summary of your personal data, to correct or complete it, or to erase it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. You can remove Google sign-in from your account in the app under Settings → Owner account, or at myaccount.google.com/connections. To use any of these rights, email support@centlabspro.com. If we do not resolve your concern, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Our database cannot be read or written by the app directly, only through our own checked functions, and licences are signed with a key held in Google Cloud KMS. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
CentLabs Pro is for labs and their staff. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data through the owner account.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date, and tell lab owners in the app or by email before a significant change takes effect.
